Viva Las Vegas

Dear friends,

Ron and I were married on April 3 at the Little Church of the West in Las Vegas.  Yes-after talking about it for over a year we finally made it official.
My brother flew in from Seattle to give me away. His partner Rick also came to witness the ceremony.

Despite the wedding being in Las Vegas, it was a fairly traditional ceremony beginning with a walk down the aisle on the arm of my brother and ending with a kiss. (Note that the minister in the background doesn’t look a bit like Elvis.)

It was freezing when we left Connecticut and so the 90 degree days and 60 degrees nights in Nevada were a welcome bonus of our trip. We put away our coats and didn't have to look at them again the entire trip.

Since we had neither one been to Nevada before, we really enjoyed seeing the Las Vegas strip. It is especially beautiful at night when it is lit up.

But even more fun than the strip, was visiting the desert and mountains surrounding Las Vegas.  We rented a Goldwing motorcycle for the comfort factor and rode it for two and a half days – putting over 600 miles on it!  The sky was blue everyday with hardly a cloud in it and the desert was unbelievably beautiful.  Below are some pictures we took of our travels.

Too soon the trip ended and home we flew (with our coats back on!).

Thank you for taking the time to read about our wedding. You can call me Sabre Sabatino now :))
